UNY I-Corps Node: Entrepreneurship Training for Scientists & Researchers
January 31 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Featuring: Shannon Sullivan, UNY I-Corps Node Regional Director
Cornell University, University of Rochester and Rochester Institute of Technology have partnered to create the Upstate New York (UNY) I-Corps Node. Funded by NSF, the Node acts as a hub for commercialization training in the Northeast, connecting skilled researchers to valuable resources through national and regional I-Corps programming. In the Node’s newest regional program, SBIR Phase 0, teams who have developed a deep technology innovation participate in the I-Corps process to test its commercialization potential, and receive follow-on workshops and support to launch a new business. Each year, the Node recommends 20-30 teams to the National NSF Teams program, where participants can receive $50K NSF funding and other opportunities.
Registration is Required to Attend: There is no cost to attend, however, as we are serving pizza and refreshments, we need an appropriate food count and if there are any changes in scheduling due to weather conditions, we are able to contact attendees.
RSVP by Monday, January 30 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
This program is hosted by CNY Biotech Accelerator at Upstate.
Free parking is available in the CNYBAC parking lot located directly behind CNYBAC and is accessed at the Irving Ave and E. Fayette St. intersection.
