Founder, Block Club & City Dining Cards
Patrick Finan is the founder of Block Club and City Dining Cards in Buffalo, NY. Patrick was the youngest person to be named to Business First’s 40 Under 40 list, and was named a Rising Star in advertising by the Advertising Club of Buffalo. He is a regular speaker at the University of Buffalo, Buffalo State College, Canisius College, the University of Pittsburgh and recently at TEDx Buffalo. His work has been recognized nationally for excellence, featured on top design blogs and in The Boston Herald, Philadelphia Magazine and The Washington Post.
Established in 2007 by Patrick Finan (founder & principal) and Brandon Davis (co-founder & creative director). Block Club began as Block Club magazine, a quarterly magazine that talks about building a better Rust Belt and has developed into a leading branding and marketing agency. Block Club was recently recognized as one of Western New York’s fastest growing businesses. Known for its originality, authenticity and ability to provide a unique high quality experience for its clients, Block Club has worked alongside TED, 43 North, The United Nations Foundation, Conflict Kitchen, The University at Buffalo, Say Yes to Education, Insyte Consulting and a number of progressive and forward- thinking organizations throughout New York and the United States.
City Dining Cards
Started in 2011, City Dining Cards is a customer loyalty marketing company that has expanded to serve 15 metropolitan markets with over $600,000 in expected revenue in 2014. City Dining Cards has developed a patented and trademarked system that packages a playing card-like deck of discounts to the best locally owned restaurants in each market it serves. The company currently works with over 1000 restaurants and small businesses and has broad distribution through more than 750 brick and mortar retailers including Whole Foods and Barnes and Noble. City Dining Cards has developed a fast-growing fundraising program for schools and not-for-profits, supporting hundreds of organizations across the country with the tools to raise much needed funds. Additionally, City Dining Cards has acquired a mobile app that provides a platform for end-users to access discounts at restaurants from coast-to-coast. City Dining Cards is currently seeking investors to aggressively grow the business.
