President, Weaver Wind Energy
Alex Hagen’s diverse professional credentials involve entrepreneurial experience dating back over 20 years. He has engineering experience in data storage, medical devices, and biotech as well as finance and operations. In 2009, Alex Hagen joined Weaver Wind Energy as its President. After four years of installing and servicing small wind turbines from various manufacturers, Hagen set out to create a turbine with better quality, reliability, and performance. Hagen envisioned the solution in a well-designed turbine that incorporates the best qualities of existing turbines with cutting-edge technology.
As part of his previous experience Hagen had managed various projects at Merit Medical Systems and Advion Biosciences. This experience enabled Hagen to become a key developer in the design of the Weaver wind turbine. During his time with the company, Hagen has focused its direction toward designing and manufacturing the world’s most reliable small wind turbine. Hagen holds an undergraduate degree in engineering from Miami University and an M.B.A. from the S.C. Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
Weaver Wind Energy
Quality design and all US-manufactured components are at the core of Weaver Wind Energy’s technology. The Weaver 5kW and 10kW residential wind turbines represent three years of manufacturing engineering, testing, and development. These residential turbines have been designed to last beyond 20 years and require no regular maintenance. Their patented design has been tested for over 15,000 operating hours, which included hundreds of inspections to ensure consistent and reliable operation.
Weaver Wind Energy is looking for individuals dedicated to protecting themselves against rising electricity costs, reducing their total carbon footprint, and reducing their dependence on the grid. The entire design and manufacturing team is ecstatic with the machine’s progress and its ability to revolutionize residential wind energy.
